Hi to all,

on first sorry for my bad english; I'm from Italy.

I've a little problem to use BOIN under Linux (ubuntu).
I've try many time on many computer under many release of Ubuntu / Debian, so also with many version of BOINC.

My problem is that BOINC work ever also if I unflag the Computer allowed: While the computer is in use.

I've also try to set this under BAM but also in this case under Linux doesn't work.

The last computer under testing is:

AMD Phenom(tm) 9850 Quad-Core Processor
BOINC Version: 6.10.56
O.S. GNU/Linux Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 64 Bit
Kernel: 2.6.32-24-generic

but I've other 5 computer that have the same problem.

BOINC under MS Windows haven't this problem, so I'm searching for a solution under GNU/Linux system.

Thanks in advance for all the reply

It's been discussed before. It has something to do with the keyboard detection code. I believe it was reported that it seems to work with PS/2 keyboards, but not USB keyboards.
