i have "high speed internet" but boinc still only gets two downloads per project (if 5 projects get files, then 10 connections). i would like to change that two 5 connections per project(or more). but im not sure if boinc can do that or even how.

TIA

BOINC will only get as much work as it can process in the time allowed by each project.
You can try for more by increasing the option: Maintain enough work for an additional, which is in the Network section of your project preferences.

The same thing with slightly different wording is in the menu of the manager, but only applies to that computer.

I think that the maximum value is 10 days additional work. However you should just gradually increase the value, and see if BOINC can still process all of the work before the deadlines.

There are the <max_file_xfers> and <max_file_xfers_per_project> options in the cc_config.xml file.

(if my understanding of boinc mechanics is correct) One could achieve such this way

[1] increase prefetch (depends on how fast application of particular(!) project is)

[2] decrease allowed internet frequency accordingly

    [3] stick to one project

[4] pray that application won't change its behaviour

@DskRbt, IOW: don't, just let It work.
