Hi all

I hope this is the right place to be asking this. I am trying to run 'plink', a whole genome association analysis toolset, under BOINC. I have added the usual init and exit code, and modified the fopen()s, but the plink application expects it's input files to be specified on the command line in the form of 'plink --map test.map --ped test.ped' In BOINC I can see where to specify command line arguments and input files to read from stdin, but I can't find a way to present the files in a way that keeps both plink and BOINC happy. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this situation. Is modifying plink to read its files from stdin the only way?

Regards,
Stuart

If you don't a response on the boards (very few programmer types hang out here), you'll want to ask on the email lists.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
