first off, "show graphics" is enabled for every task. win7/64 bit. intel video card. cosmology, einstein, and seti @home + world community grid. it simply REFUSES to display graphics, just text and there's nothing in the messages saying there's a problem. it's a new install.... graphics were running fine on my laptop, but like i said... no errors in the messages about it. any ideas? |

Drivers. The graphics are OpenGL, which isn't enabled by default drivers (installed by Windows) as it's a direct competitor to Microsoft's own DirectX. So you need to install the drivers from the Intel site. Go to http://downloadcenter.intel.com/, follow the options for "Find downloads by product name", install those drivers. Or tell us what kind of Intel videocard (or -chip) you have and we'll try to help. |

thanks for the response. unfotunately, stupid device manager only tells me "intel(r) hd graphics" and that the driver VERSION is 8.15.10.2119. =/ |

What kind of CPU do you have? i3, i5 or i7? Hold on.. you can use http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/detect.htm to install the latest drivers, just in case. (Or this link for all Intel chipset drivers). |
