I upgraded my BOINC server to 6.10.58, from an older version, 5.4.11. My system was stable and performance was acceptable with BOINC 5.4.11. With this new version, 6.10.58, performance is very poor. Simply scrolling down a list in Windows Explorer causes the scroll to be very jerky. Swapping applications with ALT+TAB causes a noticeable delay and a screen redraw. I have ran a defragment on the hard drive, and scanned for Malware.

My hardware:
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 2400 MHz
RAM - 3 Gigabytes
HDD - 115 Gigabyte PATA - 22 Gigabytes bytes free
Video - ATI Radeon x700 AGP bus

My system software:
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Chad
