Hello,

For over a year I have been uploading my client_state.xml file to my website which extracts my usage data and inputs this into my MySQL database for my website usage and own graphing.

I have a few PC's doing various projects but this one PC has all my projects running in BOINC (This way I can get all my credit details in one file). this has been working fine but I have noticed a problem in that my BOINC client on this main PC does not always works equally on all projects according to the resource share (Each project has aresource share of 100 and there are 3 projects Milkyway, SETI and Enigma). For some reason Milkyway is taking 99% of the work thus the other 2 projetcs take ages to complete a task thus when the client_state.xml uploads is does not have the current data for SETI and Enigma as these take days to complete.

Now the other PC's on my collection are rapidly doing SETI WU so what I am seeing is flat periods and then big jumps then flat periods. I hope you understand.

So to avoid this problem is there a way for a user to down load his credit data directly from BOINC/Project Servers directly via an XML simialr to the way BoincStats collect data everyday for every person in every project. I don't want to collect the same xml as these files will be massive, just collect my own and then comple the data into my MySQL database.

Is this possible

Sean

Not without page scraping, no. And page scraping is highly frowned upon by most projects as it puts a large load on the database. Although you can probably get away with only you doing this, as soon as they allow you to do it, the next person will think "hey, I can do that as well"... etc.

Best asked at the project.

Now, Enigma seems to be dead in the water, I hope they return, but wouldn't hold my hopes up. They ran out of money.
