I am running Windows7. BOINC Manager 6.12.33. I have 1 project running on BOINC.

When my computer has been in sleep mode for some time, and I resume Windows, the BOINC taskbar icon says that it is 'Not Connected to a client".

When I open the manager I can see the Project in the project tab, but it is not running.
There is a Disconnected icon on the status bar of the manager.

I can fix this by clicking on the Advanced menu > Select Computer > Hostname: localhost
The Manager then connects to the localhost and project starts running again.

However, if my computer goes to sleep again, the problem returns.

Does anyone have a permanent fix for me? So that it does not disconnect, or if it does then it will reconnect by itself.

Thankyou

I think the project/task is running, only that the manager can't see it, because it's not connected to the client. You can check that with windows task manager.

Does your computer go into sleep mode automatically (when idle) or by you pressing a button?

If when idle, try setting
Suspend work if no mouse/keyboard activity in last --- minutes
Needed to enter low-power mode on some computers
to something smaller than the idle timer.

If manually, just exit the manager (without stopping the client) before you press the button.

Gundolf Jahn you are correct.
Using a CPU Meter I can see that my CPUs are running at 100%, even when the 'not connected to client' message is present.

Thankyou
