I´m kind of newbie on this matter, so please help me...

I have a Pentium IV working at 2,8 - 3,0 GHZ (2 processors according to Intel ;)). Why does the "Activity-manager" indicate that the processor (s) work at no more than app. 33%when I´m running BOINC with 2-3 projects?
-Is this correct(the maximum utilization of my computer), or is there a way to improve the CPU-utilization up to 100% or something nearby that ??

Please

Boinc projects are design to run at just above system idle level. All other software will have priority to the CPU. You will want to check what other programs are running and using your CPU cycles. On my system, projects use up to 98% of resources when no other program is active.

Boinc V 7.4.36

On Hyper threaded processors, Windoze will show either 100% for 1 cpu, or 50% for 2 cpus, or 25% for 4 cpus. The 50% and 25% figure are actually 100%, Windoze can not do it any other way... The % will vary if you have other processes run and taking up cycles....

The speed for Hyper threaded cpus will actually be less than 100% because of the way Hyper threading works, but you can do more work because you are doing 2 to 4 at a time....

1 cpu does 1 WU in 1hr
2 cpus do 2 WUs in 1 1/2hrs
4 cpus do 4 WUs in 1 1/2 hrs
