Alantu's page has this:

YOUR SMARTPHONE CAN EMPOWER A RESEARCH-BASED GRID AIMED TO SOLVE THE WORLD'S BIGGEST QUESTIONS AT NO COST

Are there really grids that people pay to donate their resources? And do they really think there is no cost to donating these resources?...

And for those wanting a little more research. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.alantu.app

Their website does say Powered by BOINC.

Their FAQ is located here: http://alantu.io/faq/

I saw this (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=10217) in my BOINC feed and it looks to be all hype and no substance.
Just a different form of BOINC and I see no added value to it.

That particular thread simply says it's looking for beta testers, and not anything about the "test".
The Google-doc the link in the OP thread points to (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1FB8j_3MlNnzIRmimTE1m3-UyB5qvKTeYir3KOcKn2-M/viewform) doesn't give any more information regarding their "concept".

Their two youtube videos also give very little information and simply tries to hype their app.

Knowing they say their project is based on BOINC and considering you are reading this, you probably already have BOINC.
And I think of BOINC as an open project (source available) and one I can trust.

I see NO added value in Alantu's test/concept/whatever while BOINC is already established and working.

I question the motive with Alantu's project. Will it be mining bitcoins on one of the processors? Will it be including ads to generate revenue?

BOINC: For the sake of science, not corporate/political/money.
