I've been crunching for years on my PC but have only just installed BOINC on my smartphone. The install went fine and it downloaded work but today nothing seems to be happening. I'm unable to observe it crunching because it tells me "turn off screen to resume computing" - all I see is 4-5 downloaded units and no progress anywhere.

I have it plugged in to charger. Is there a way to tell it NOT to stop computing when the screen is on? Just so I can actually observe what its doing for a bit?

Never mind. I figured it out (box to untick under preferences - for some weird reason I never saw that before).

OK, I managed to figure out how to get it to run even when the screen is on but every time I resume crunching the work units are starting over from scratch. For example, I had my phone connected to the charger earlier today - two units were processing. I had to go out so unplugged my phone to take with me. Have just got home and plugged it back in again, but it has now started the units over from the beginning again.

Surely this isn't default behaviour?

It's default behaviour for projects with tasks that don't checkpoint. These will start again from the beginning.

So, which project(s) are you running?
(And no, this site ISN'T SETI, so we can't tell.)

I'm running WCG - does this mean my work is always going to start over if I interrupt it by unplugging my phone?
