Message 81872 - Posted: 8 Oct 2017, 12:26:29 UTC - in response to Message 81871.

Probably fell off the chicken that was crossing the road :-)

"In his article in the Mail on Sunday, Sir John Major tells the plotters it is time to focus on the needs of the British people rather than their own ambitions if they want to avoid two 'neo-Marxists' being in government - a reference to Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell.
In an editorial, the Mail urges Mrs May to seize the moment and attack.
"While willing to wound," it says, "her foes fear to strike".
It advises her to "get rid of unreliable and worn-out ministers"."

Says the man who loved curried eggs :-)

Indulging my fraudulent intellectualism in, say, the Guardian's environment articles for example, does carry the risk I might learn something new, I know, but I'll deal with it as best I can if it happens.

we were up until now though discussing its political leanings,
One must assume the head is still where it was advised you remove it from, Sir. The link was to a piece discussing the position of EU nationals. Matters of environment are too an area of concern post Brexit. What you brought to the table were your political leanings.

edit@"madam" : my father-in-law has an oft used proverb about Englishmen, Anniet. It is most apt - but best suited to PM. ;-)

Its roots lie in: An Englishman will burn his bed to catch a flea - but time has added additional nuances. ;-)

Fire 'em http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/22/politics/donald-trump-alabama-nfl/index.html
Tax 'em https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/president-trump-rips-nfl-for-getting-tax-breaks-while-disrespecting-anthem-flag/
but it isn't that simple ...
First Amendment wrote:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2017/10/race-review-reveals-gaping-inequality-uk-171010112623905.html
Black and ethnic minority (BME) individuals are almost twice as likely to be unemployed as white British adults, a government-backed review of racial issues in the UK has revealed.

The audit, published Tuesday by the government's "Ethnicity Facts and Figures" website, also shows that police are three times more likely to stop and search non-white Britons.

eh? Didn't I hear from sanctimonious persons that only America has a race problem?

Over the years with more & more stats becoming available, that has turned out to be a false perception. Of all the stop & searches alongside total number of arrests, BME's total 20%.

Secondly if the UK reverses the referendum and the will of the people (however much misplaced it might have been) and stays in the EU, we will lose all standing and credence that we do have in Europe.

If you're looking for what was here, it's gone. I was in a different thread to the one I thought I was when I didn't know where to put it and put it here. Thank you for your time. Refunds are not available...

Of course the government won't allow it, it shows up their incompetence & the corruption of private companies.

The way ahead?
