Anybody help me with this plz? I used to run PrimeGrid GFN on my GPU, lately noticed new tasks not being loaded. Nothing else has changed in my system. Running Windows 10 1709 (build 16299) Radeon RX580 OpenGL v24.20.11000.13541 OpenCL v25.20.14007.1000 Radeon Driver v18.40.07.01 I have windows updates disabled (and i mean properly disabled) and nothing else has been updated since this stopped working. Installed latest client 7.16.11 - no difference. GPU just not found Boinc log as below: 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Starting BOINC client version 7.16.11 for windows_x86_64 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Libraries: libcurl/7.47.1 OpenSSL/1.0.2s zlib/1.2.8 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Data directory: E:\BIONIC 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Running under account Alex 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | No usable GPUs found 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | app version refers to missing GPU type ATI 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | PrimeGrid | Application uses missing ATI GPU 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Version change (7.14.2 -> 7.16.11) 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Windows processor group 0: 12 processors 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Host name: ASTERIX 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Processor: 12 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz [Family 6 Model 158 Stepping 10] 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Processor features: fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss htt tm pni ssse3 fma cx16 sse4_1 sse4_2 movebe popcnt aes f16c rdrandsyscall nx lm avx avx2 vmx smx tm2 pbe fsgsbase bmi1 hle smep bmi2 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | OS: Microsoft Windows 10: Professional x64 Edition, (10.00.16299.00) 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Memory: 15.94 GB physical, 25.44 GB virtual 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Disk: 446.53 GB total, 268.21 GB free 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Local time is UTC +1 hours 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | No WSL found. 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | PrimeGrid | General prefs: from PrimeGrid (last modified 14-Sep-2020 23:07:16) 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | PrimeGrid | Computer location: home 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | PrimeGrid | General prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Reading preferences override file 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Preferences: 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | max memory usage when active: 8159.65 MB 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | max memory usage when idle: 14687.37 MB 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | max disk usage: 250.00 GB 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | max CPUs used: 8 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | suspend work if non-BOINC CPU load exceeds 25% 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | (to change preferences, visit a project web site or select Preferences in the Manager) 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Setting up project and slot directories 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Checking active tasks 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | PrimeGrid | URL http://www.primegrid.com/; Computer ID 932518; resource share 100 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Setting up GUI RPC socket 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Checking presence of 104 project files 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Running CPU benchmarks 16/09/2020 02:24:57 | | Suspending computation - CPU benchmarks in progress 16/09/2020 02:25:28 | | Benchmark results: 16/09/2020 02:25:28 | | Number of CPUs: 8 16/09/2020 02:25:28 | | 5770 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU 16/09/2020 02:25:28 | | 18681 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU |

I would guess that Windows has updated something and broken the driver, regardless of your settings. I'd try the simple thing first, download and install your preferred driver from AMD. Team USA forum Follow us on Twitter Help us #crunchforcures! |
