Only the first post and the last 75 posts (of the 115 posts in this thread) are displayed. does not work with the setting Post : Least recent post first It shows the first 75 then and the latest one - a totally useless feature. (found at QMC@Home, they do not run the latest server side version) |

Just went to answer a PM, but from the PM screen one cannot return directly to the message board Those are fixed in the new code. Which hasn't found itself onto all the boards yet, including these. :-( |

Talking about post display, I shall have to investigate whether any Californians except inhabitants of Berkeley habitually say 'least recent'. In the rest of the English-speaking world everyone says 'oldest'. People say, 'I'm wearing my oldest jumper' not 'This is my least recent jumper'. |

Talking about post display, I shall have to investigate whether any Californians except inhabitants of Berkeley habitually say 'least recent'. ... Funny - to me it did not sound strange at all, must be "Bücherenglish" ;-) We have some twisted wordings like that one especially in governement- and jurist-german, but there it is thought to be least understandable for normal people, in order to camouflage the wicked mind standing behind some rules and laws. |

One more, related to my thread start : The button "My question was answered" and If your question has been adequately answered please click here to close it! should sit either next to the latest (or newishmost or unoldishest) reply (below the thread table, if the latest post is at the table end) or just show down there a second time. Especially with "skip to first unread post" some people will never see that button. |
