It is possible to make 'host groups' to force the server to send specific jobs only to those hosts?

The situation is like this: we have task A which requires the program X to be installed on the target host. However, since it is impossible to install it on-the-fly we need to install it beforehand; also we have task B, C ... which does'nt require any specific software.

Is there a way to create a group of hosts e.g. 'host with program X installed' to make the server send task A only to those, while sending tasks B, C... to everybody?
