Installing Boink Server under Debian Linux 6. I've downloaded the current stable release. Successfully ran _autoinstal, although I had to disable the checks for autoreconfig and libtoolize - kept reporting that they were not found of not current enough - couldn't find these anywhere including the Boinc SVN, Used reconfig and libtool instead. Anyway, trying to get configure to run. Am stuck where it is looking for the openssl library. I reinstalled openssl so I can have the library, but no matter what I do, it can't see the library, even when I tell it where it is. The error message refers to the fille openssl.pc, which is nowhere to be found. On the OpenSSL web site, there is a matenance notice on the CVS that states that openssl.pc was removed as it is generated by openssl. How do I get past this? Thanks! Cook |

Nevermind. Discovered that I had to compile and install openssl first. Duh! Sort of new to the Linux thing and thus I will make some rather "stupid" mistakes. Thanks to all who read and those who considered my plight. Cook |
