I have 2 Nvidia 460gtx's running in SLI. I was wondering, how do I show the cool graphs/charts/moving molecules when BOINC is running? I am running SETI@Home and it uses my GPU's like it should when it runs. But I remember it showing some cool moving graph/wavelengths when the screen saver was running when I ran this project a couple years ago. All I see now on the screensaver is a progress bar of the current project I am running. How do I show the graphics (like on the download page, there are pictures of a molecule and the earth spinning)? Just seeing the progress bar is boring. Is there a setting I need to enable that I am missing? |

Seti did not release a graphics application for their CUDA app, because at the time it was deemed that both couldn't run at the same time on a GPU. You will only be able to see the Seti graphics when you run a Seti task on your CPU (Multibeam app v6.03), and then only when you use the standard applications, not any optimized by Lunatics or others. If you want to see an Earth spinning (CPDN) or a molecule being added to (WCG/Rosetta), you'll need to run those projects and actively run a task for any of those projects. There's little use in showing a molecule being assembled when searching for ETI, hence why Seti won't show that. Though any folding projects may. |
