If I shut down my system (and install a different video card) will the work already completed be lost or deleted? I presently have two seti-at-home work units in progress. Will BOINC recognize the new card and resume all work in progress with no loss of time or data? ID: 43151 ·

It appears a change of this nature in midstream is not a good idea. I will hold up until the present work units are finished. Thanks to all for your help with this issue. ID: 43157 ·

If the change is from a GPU that isn't supported by Boinc to one that is, then there is no problem (as you won't have been crunching tasks on your GPU before), so just go ahead. Claggy ID: 43158 ·
