Hello everyone, Since the new reorganization of pages forums by X number of messages, we can't provide HTTP link to a message that would be prior to the number of messages displayed on the first page (the link of said message refers to the first page systematically when it should send on page X). This poses a real problem for all forums platform SETI@home. Is there a way around the problem without increasing the number of messages displayed per page and by default ? Thanks for your answers. Weird thing is, that nothing changed between me sending it to the list and you answering later. So it's almost as if it was a bad caching in your browser. See if it changes again... |

Hi Ageless, I haven't changed anything on my side but I noticed that the links of HTTP posts have changed. They have a different extension with redundancy of their ID with a # in front. It wasn't there before, I'm sure. To explain everything in the forum of my team, I made summaries for each forum with a direct link to important posts. These links were not working at all after updating the number of pages. And two hours after I posted to your attention, HTTP links have changed. As I watched this loan, I quickly noticed. I have to change all the links of my summary, but when you click on the ones I've updated it well redirect to the correct page number and the correct position on the page. If nothing has been done is really strange as you say. My browser is Google Chrome and I have absolutely nothing changed in the space of two hours. [CSF] Thomas H.V. There do seem to be some browser dependencies. If you follow a link to a message in the middle of a page, apparently Firefox and IE9 scroll the page display to the correct message, but IE8 (last IE available for Windows XP) just sits with the topmost posts on the page visible. |

Ageless & Richard To give you an example, here is what happens before/after one of the links on the forum of my team. I think it will be clearer. Before the update, the link was this : http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=66336&nowrap=true#1253159 After the update, the link was this : http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=66336&postid=1253159#1253159 [CSF] Thomas H.V.
