I just recently put together a new computer and it has a AMD Radeon RX7 200 Series graphics card, which is OpenCL supported. My older pc is still receiving and processing gpu units for SETI@home...

Here's the log of BOINC on this new machine...

Hopefully someone could shed some light on why BOINC isn't receiving and processing GPU work?

Thanks to all that are able to help out!
Cheers

Project specific questions are usually best asked at the particular project's forums. Anyway...

There has been some post over Seti forums that the Seti servers have been configured to require CAL support from AMD GPUs even for OpenCL apps. Apparently newer AMD drivers and/or GPUs don't support CAL so the servers think that the GPU can't do OpenCL either.

I understand the currently recommended workaround is to install third party apps for Seti.

Thanks for the reply Juha, I went over to SETI's forums and found a solution. Got some work units for my gpu now. Greatly appreciate your help!

Because finding projects that will run on your GPU can be tricky, you can use the results page over at WUprop to see what other people are running on the same card you've got. I see that for RX7 240 and 250, only Collatz and Einstein are working right now. The 260X seems to have much better luck: http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/results/gpu.py?fabricant=ATI&type=R7+200&modele=Radeon+R7+260X&tri=projet&sort=asc
